The OTL now has a media page! This past month, the library team has been hard at work creating material to promote use of the library. On June 13, the team gave a presentation at the Oklahoma Department of Transportation going over features of the library as well as how to use the website, catalog, and libguide. Part 1 of the presentation has been uploaded and can be accessed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLfekRzUukk. Additionally, we have added the handout that appeared at the presentation as well as a brochure about the library to our new media page. Look forward to this section receiving regular updates as we create more exciting content for the library.

Welcome to the Oklahoma Transportation Library (OTL) website. This website will act as a hub for information and research regarding the transportation field. With an online searchable catalog, a libguide, and support from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT), the website offers the most up-to-date resources for those seeking transportation-related research. The OTL's mission is to maintain and operate a sound, progressive, and flexible library which is available to ODOT, its stakeholders, and other interested parties seeking knowledge about the transportation field. The library also seeks to share resources with regional and national transportation libraries, and increasingly move toward digital content and an Internet-based service system.
The library contains a large cross-section of ODOT-owned transportation-related material from over two-dozen states. ODOT has generously supported the OTL as it has grown, and the library now boasts a collection of over 10,000 items. These materials include county-wide soil surveys, standard specifications for highway construction, various geological reports, as well as official reports from state agencies including ODOT. With a catalog of materials that stretches back several decades, the OTL is prepared to assist patrons, including ODOT personnel, researchers, students, and stakeholders.
The OTL maintains a wide range of affiliations with various groups, including the Western Transportation Knowledge Network (WTKN), ODOT, and the Southern Plains Transportation Center. Being a part of this network, the library is better able to conduct symposiums, seminars, webinars, and various other presentations aimed at increasing knowledge in the academic and engineering community. The OTL continues to lead the way in innovative outreach, and looks forward to building partnerships across a wide spectrum of interested parties. Walk-ins are always welcome, and the staff is standing ready and able to assist with any research needs patrons might have.
